When a new airline or aircraft graces an airport, it is traditional that the fire fighters for that airport gives it a water cannon salute. Today, March 30, 2009 is the first time that Qatar Airways (QR) arrived in Houston-Intercontinental, Houston TX (IAH). Here is the video:

Qatar Airways Boeing 777-200LR arrives in Houston Intercontinental, Houston TX (IAH)
Qatar Airways, QR77 landed in Houston-Intercontinental, Houston TX (IAH) after it inaugural flight from Doha, Qatar (DOH).
The weather was crappy, it rained as nine (9) of us (one of my colleagues from work was with me) waited for the aircraft to arrive. Soon, there it was, off in the murky distance. Its bright landing lights stabbing the cloudy skies. The gray, white and dark red Boeing 777-200LR landed quietly and then taxied over to gate D5 where it was met with a traditional water cannon salute. It was amazing, the rain stopped once the airplane landed. Enjoy these pictures below:
