SINGAPORE, Jan. 11 (Xinhua) -- A Singapore Airlines (SIA) super jumbo A380 accidentally ended on the grass verge off the tarmac at Changi Airport's new Terminal 3 when it was preparing to take off to Sydney Thursday night, local media reported Friday.
According to the website of the Chinese newspaper Lianhe Zaobao, the accident was caused by the hydraulic failure of a tow truck used to push back the aircraft. The truck disconnected from the plane after the malfunction.
The aircraft's 446 passengers disembarked without any injures being reported.
The passengers have been put on replacement flights to Sydney or other destinations in Australia later that night or in the next day.
SIA said there was no major impact on the aircraft and it will investigate the incident.
The country's flag airline SIA is the world's first airline to fly the world's largest passenger plane A380. It launched commercial service from Singapore to Sydney in October.

A380 incident is to say the "pulling truck" caused the incident ... so no big deal !
Just like a journalist trying to make a big news of a small incident...
Pulling a A380 is not pulling a 777 or a 747 ... change the truck !
It's not a crash, an explosion, so being so alarmist sounds useless.

Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it. It is a big if that is the only plane they have and now those people have to travel on a "normal" plane.
This is not a small incident at all. I'm glad no one got physically hurt, but it could have been worst. Imagine that big plane rolling forward for a time before the pilot realizes it...
I'm sure this kind of stuff occurs from time to time at airports and go unreported.
I happen to love the A380, but I would have been devasteated had this been my flight and it got cancelled since my schedule was so tight and any delay would have thrown it off; not to mention that I would have to take the time off and re-plan the whole A380 experience...
Have you flow it as yet?
